A new publication of the NGO Committee on Disarmament.  The Committee decided, following the informal suggestions of several delegations, as an aid to the delegations at the UN and to the NGOs interested in nuclear disarmament, to publish a monthly 2 to 4 page letter that would provide an analysis and commentary on the current problems and efforts to achieve the disarmament of the most dangerous weapons of all, the only ones that can kill millions in minutes and threaten the very survival of humanity.  In view of the impasse on almost all current efforts to achieve meaningful nuclear disarmament, it was felt that the time was right to have a publication in addition to the Disarmament Times.
