India and Nuclear Suppliers Group

The prevention of nuclear weapons proliferation and progress toward nuclear disarmament will be strongly affected by the success or failure of the international community in bringing India, Israel, and Pakistan into responsible participation in the nuclear non-proliferation regime.

CPG does insist that the 45-member Nuclear Suppliers Group does not have the authority to exempt India or any other country from non-proliferation principles that the 189 members of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty have collectively and unanimously established.
